MARTEZ: Studio Albums
MARTEZ IS A NEW PROJECT BIRTHED IN 2020, OAKLAND, CALIFORNIA
This is the first MARTEZ album, very different from the LAMENTOS series to follow. This is electronic funk, as if my previous worlds of music became grafted onto an 80s drum machine and synths.
LAMENTOS is a cycle of nine albums, part of a grieving ritual that began in the spring of 2020. So far, six of the nine albums are completed, the most recent “Goodbyes,” from May 2024. This music has been featured in PBS American Masters “Roberta Flack,” and PBS Independent Lens documentary about Barbara Jordan titled. “The Inquisitor.”
